A Year of Euphony

A week ago on Christmas Day (2012), I finally published my novel, As a Decade Fades. I recently wrote about how I struggled with writing it, why I was afraid to publish it, and why I worked on it rigorously for four years until I got it right.

Thanks to your support—which means the world to me!— As a Decade Fades reached Amazon’s top ten bestsellers list for literary fiction this week. Yay!

Since the novel is about a songwriter, and since music occupies a significant portion of my heart’s real estate, and since 2012 is coming to a close, I thought I’d share some of my favorite music from this year with you—music that has added immense value to my life during the past twelve months—as a sort of thank-you gift for adding value to my life, which you’ve done so graciously.

You see, if Writing is my full-time lover, then Music is my secret crush. And although I’m not involved with her personally, I frequently enjoy her sweet voice from an earshot away. She reminds me of what it feels like to be alive—the euphony of the peaks, the valleys, and everything in between.

That being so, you can peruse my twelve favorite albums from 2012, a diverse list if there ever was one. Also, my ten favorite albums from 2011 is a list worth reading.
