Earlier this summer, on June 29, 2014, instead of buying another paisley necktie or pair of pleated trousers for my birthday, I asked my friends to donate my age in dollars ($33) to Charity Water so we could bring clean water to people who need it most.
Thanks to y’all, we’ve raised more than $17,000 so far, and with one last push we can get to our $20,000 goal before the campaign ends this weekend.
Are you willing to help? 100% of our donations go directly toward getting people access to clean water. Together we can gift change. Real change, a real gift—not another useless pair of cufflinks.
P.S. You can do the same for your next birthday. It’s easy. Find the details at my Charity Water page.
UPDATE: We did it! We reached our goal on the last day. Then, a few days after our campaign ended, a kind person donated an additional $10,000 to bring our total to over $30,000. Y’all’re awesome!
