We recently discovered this short TED Talk video by poet Boonaa Mohammed. It’s a great reminder to be kind and loving to others no matter the circumstances.
There are some great inadvertent nods to minimalism in his poetic speech too. A couple of our favorite minimalist quotes from this video are, “Divide my time like economics: I love to say ‘hi’ and buy less,” and “I ain’t impressed with money, cars, clothes, or fame…the trinkets of this world don’t mean a thing.”
It goes to show how minimalism goes hand in hand with loving and caring for people (and building impactful relationships). The video has a funny ending that’s worth the 4 minutes of viewing too. Enjoy.
