Reacting to Minimalism

How might your life be better with less? That’s the question we will attempt to answer in our upcoming Netflix “docuspecial,” Less Is Now, the follow-up to our popular documentary, Minimalism.

The Minimalists and director Matt D’Avella are filming the final scenes for Less Is Now, and to add a few different perspectives, we’re going to interview a dozen people who were profoundly affected by our first film. If that sounds like you, and you’d like to be considered for our new docuspecial, please record a short video on your phone that includes the following:

  • Start with, “Hello, my name is [NAME] from [CITY, STATE].”
  • How did you feel after you first watched Minimalism?
  • In what ways, big or small, has simplifying changed your life?
  • Can you tell us about a significant struggle in your life that challenged you emotionally?

The video can be solo or with your family, and it should be three minutes or less (longer videos won’t be viewed). You must live in Southern California or be willing to travel to Los Angeles for an interview on March 14, 2020. Please send your video submissions to [email protected] with “Less Is Now Submission” in the subject line.

Deadline: Sunday, March 8, 2020, 2 PM ET.

Exciting times!
